These are recordings by Edward Mullaney on the uilleann pipes and Patrick Stack on violin. Both men were of Irish ancestry — it could be that one or both were born in Ireland and later emigrated to the United States. This great old traditional Irish number was recorded before the word “traditional” came to be applied to some types of Irish music. In other words, it is the real thing.
You can’t get more traditional Irish than these two.
