Yogi Yorgesson
Yogi Yorgesson was a character developed by a radio announcer, weatherman, and banjo player from Tacoma, Washington. Born Harry Skarbo, Yogi’s alter ego was the son of Norwegian immigrants, but was adopted by the Stewart family when his mother died. Stewart developed the Yogi Yorgesson character while appearing on the Al Pearce radio show from 1934 to 1937. See Wikipedia for a more detailed biography.
