Patsy Montana was the first female country recording star to have a million seller with her hit “I Want to be a Cowboy’s Sweetheart.” She began recording in the 1930s, with the Prairie Ramblers backing her, and was active into the 1950s. She’s been inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame and the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame. See Wikipedia for details.
I have a 78rpm record of patsy montana singing ‘I want to be a cowboy ;
sweetheart.’
it is a colored record. Is it worth anything?
Alice – I assume you have already looked on eBay… I would say you could probably sell it for $5 to $10 dollars.
